Nike has removed the midfoot overlays and replaced them with an engineered mesh, allowing for more breathability and a more sock-like fit through the midfoot. Version 32 does have a few improvements over past models, however. It has a traditional 12 millimeter heel-to-toe offset and maintains the Air Zoom cushioning that has remained so popular over the years. So Nike isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel with this one. This shoe is the enduring symbol of Nike Running – now in it’s 32nd generation, the Pegasus was, for a lot of runners, THE original running shoe.
